Buying a property is an exciting time in anyone's life and one of the biggest decisions we face. Securing the right mortgage is usually very high on the agenda of most purchasers, but what about mortgage protection?
The Telegraph has just published an interesting article on what happened to one of it's journalists when she met Financial Adviser for the first time. One of the first questions asked was straight to the point: "If your husband were to die tomorrow, would you be able to get by financially?" The journalist admitted its something she should have thought about but didn't particularly want to consider. This is a natural reaction. You're full of excitement about your new property and your future life and thinking about unemployment, illness, incapacitation or death is not high on the agenda.
The article highlights the importance of facing up to diffcult questions at the best of times, so you are prepared if the worst does happen.
