Mortgage Introducer magazine has just published an article that claims nearly three quarters of portfolio landlords have found it more difficult to secure a mortgage since the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) changes were introduced.
The new PRA regulations mean borrowers with four or more mortgaged properties will be classified as portfolio landlords. This means they must meet new standards, like submitting a forward-looking business plan.
